Good Afternoon Good Shepherd Family,

Thank you to everyone who participated in July's Sandwich/Meal Making drive! Your generosity, along with the Bella Vista Prep's donation of 86 Sandwich/Meal Bags, made it possible for us to surpass last month's total. Our total meals donated for this month was 193! This amount will provide two days worth of meals for the needy at St Vincent de Paul dining room.

This ministry will be ongoing on the second Tuesday of each month, and we hope that next month's drive on August 11 will have even more participation! Please save the date and watch your emails for updates/reminders the week before.

Reminder, tomorrow is our Sandwich/Meal Making day!

Good Afternoon Good Shepherds,

Thanks to everyone for the great collection of meals we gathered for St. Vincent de Paul to distribute in June. We will collect sack meals again on Tuesday, July 14 in Maitland Hall. Please pack (2) Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or tuna packets, protein bars, etc. We aren't doing fresh fruit or hard-boiled eggs due to the heat but boxed drinks, bottled water, and small fruit cups are welcome. Please bring your meals by 3 pm so they can be distributed for dinner.

Thank you

On behalf of the Sandwich Committee, we are now able to get back to providing food for people who really need it. Please read the message below and respond in the way we are taught in the Gospel. I thank you for diving back into the "pool" of love. Father John +

Dear Good Shepherds:

To continue our efforts to help in this crazy pandemic, we are going to continue our sandwich or meal-making for the homeless and under-employed by making lunches at home, packing them in 1 gallon clear baggies and dropping them off at Maitland Hall by 3 pm the second Tuesday of Each Month. We will then take them to St. Vincent de Paul, 9227 N. 10th Ave in Phoenix.

Food suggestions can include 2 PB and J sandwiches, 2 tuna packets, granola bars, peanuts, trail mix, juice box, small applesauce packet, nutrition bars. If you can please include a napkin and small plastic fork. You can be creative but be very careful to disinfect your working area. And do NOT pack anything perishable!

We would like to take 100 lunches over, so if you feel you are able, please consider making 4 sack lunches.

Thank you so much for helping with this ministry. St. Vincent's feeds about 90 people per day so that is our goal.
